Lilac

(Living in Light and Comfort)

Lilac is a safe, secure, and supported accommodation, specifically aimed at those who are in the early stages of recovery from drugs and/or alcohol. Based in Coventry, we strive to offer people more than just a roof over their heads, we don’t measure success based on how many residents we have or how long you have been there, success to us is providing a recovery environment where you will be supported in your efforts in securing stable, long term accommodation and/or employment, including help with relevant training needs to enable you the best chance of success with independent living within the community.

The atmosphere within LILAC is welcoming and supportive where all residents are expected to treat each other with respect, kindness and compassion. The environment within LILAC will be conducive with residents who are trying to build up confidence and believe that they can live independently, free from active addiction.

Residents will be expected to participate in group sessions and have regular one to one meetings with staff members throughout their stay. Residents are also expected to attend 12 step fellowship meetings and actively engage within that recovery community. Support will be provided to residents to help them achieve this.

Residents will also be given opportunities for day trips throughout their stay and are expected to actively engage with The Dynamo Project. It is important for residents to get out and about and see what life has to offer them free from drugs and/or alcohol.

Complete abstinence is non-negotiable. It is the foundation on which the on-going recovery process is built on and as such, all residents are expected to maintain abstinence throughout their stay with us.
